Libby Hill Park
Rijnveld's Early Sensation can be found at "The View that Named Richmond" overlooking the James River. These bulbs were planted by the Virginia Daffodil Society and Church Hill Neighborhood in the fall of 2024.

Forest Hill Park
VDS members and Friends of Forest Hill Park volunteers divided and spread these bulbs to keep them at their best.

Great Shiplock Park
Another successful planting day for VDS! VDS members Tal, Susan A., Joanna, Susan H. and Katherine finished up the western bed with over 400 more bulbs. Big thanks go out to those who helped this week and all who helped on prior 2023 and 2024 planting dates.
After two years of work on this project in conjunction with Capital Trees and the Virginia Capital Trail, park visitors will be set to enjoy 1,200 historic daffs in spring bloom for years to come. VDS could not have made this project happen without the generous member support given for bulb purchases and bulb donations from ADS daff friends Matt Duddy, Allen Haas, Sara Kinne and Drew McFarland.

Libby Hill Park
Nov. 16, 2024 was another fabulous day for daffodil bulb planting at "The View That Named Richmond" in Libby Hill Park. Thanks to the many Church Hill residents who turned out to take part in planting well over 1,000 bulbs in 3 different beds. This was our club's most ambitious project to date!
VDS could not have made this project happen without the generous help of our daffodil friends Matt Duddy, Allen Haas, Joe Hamm and Drew McFarland who provided bulbs at little or no cost.
Thanks also to Union Market for setting up coffee and snack bars that kept everyone fueled.
